Fraunhofer ISIT has over 20 years of experience in development of optical microsystems. Among those there are fast laser scanners, laser beam steering systems, microlenses, wafer-level-micro-optics, beam forming elements, aperture stops, micromirror arrays, opto-packages for UV to IR, as well as image sensing and display technology.

In this business field intelligent sensor systems for applications in sports, health, well-being and ambient assisted living (AAL) as well as for safety improvement of co-workers in hazardous environments or for drivers in traffic are developed. Data management and processing, (wireless) data transfer to a PC or smartphone, data analysis and feedback are most important tasks in order to collect and evaluate information about the actual wearer conditions and to improve these conditions.
