The Nortec trade fair takes place in Hamburg on January 25-28, 2022. It is the only trade fair for production in northern Germany that covers the entire value chain of metal and plastics processing. 

Fraunhofer ISIT presents itself with the topic of quality and reliability of electronic assemblies, including the evaluation of manufacturing quality as well as failure analysis.

Process evaluation and optimization in the production of electronic assemblies will also be presented: Prototypes, functional models, pre-series, accompanying technology and process transfer, rework and training are presented by our experts.

Helge Schimanski, our expert for module services, will give a presentation on the topic of low temperature soldering at the Nortec trade fair 2022.

The presentation will address the background and motivation for the introduction of low melting solder alloys.

Using a wide variety of electronic components as examples, the manufacturing process with SnBiX solders will be carried out in direct comparison with established SAC solders, evaluated and the manufacturing quality analyzed.

Results from reliability tests such as T-shock, drop test and shear test with in-situ monitoring are presented and process recommendations for sustainable, reliable and future-oriented electronics manufacturing are developed.

The presentation will take place on 02 June from 12:05pm in the auditorium of the NORTEC trade fair.
