The Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT operates a systematic and process-oriented quality management system at its Itzehoe site and has been certified to ISO 9001 since July 31, 2003.

As a result, the institute can successfully demonstrate many years of experience in quality assurance within its project work and in the context of its service provision and manufacturing processes. In addition, ISIT has set itself the goal of fully meeting or exceeding the diverse and individually tailored requirements and expectations of customers and the relevant interested parties. This results in the pursuit of high quality in the achievement of research and development results.

Mission statement and principles of action

Our employees not only feel responsible for ensuring quality in the achievement of project results, but also adhere to the mission statement and principles of action of the Fraunhofer Code of Conduct. This creates a trusting, respectful and fair basis for our internal and external activities.

Fraunhofer observes the requirements of the German Minimum Wage Act, recognizes the applicable national and international laws and regulations of labor law, takes into account the standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and has joined the UN Global Compact network. Fraunhofer does not tolerate forced labor, child labor or illegal employment and recognizes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

Information security, data protection and confidentiality

Information that is processed and developed at Fraunhofer often requires special protection. This applies to personal data as well as to entrusted company data, research methods and research results. Fraunhofer ensures that this information is only used within the framework of legal, contractual, operational and data protection regulations and is protected against unauthorized access by third parties. All employees receive mandatory training on the subject of data protection.
